Big Old Pup was founded by Corey Lieblein, a lifelong dog owner whose passion for dogs runs as deep as his expertise in product innovation. With over 25 years of expertise in consumer product design, manufacturing, quality control, and innovation, Corey has built a reputation for creating thoughtfully engineered solutions that improve everyday life.
The inspiration for Big Old Pup came during a quiet, powerful moment in the Spring of 2024. While walking through New York City, Corey saw an elderly gentleman struggling to pick up his small dog. Standing nearby, Corey instinctively positioned himself to catch the man if he fell. The gentleman eventually scooped up his dog safely—but the moment lingered.
As Corey walked away, a wave of memories came rushing in—decades of his own challenges managing dogs he loved over the past 40 years. That night, he searched the internet for true utility-based pet solutions—products engineered to solve real problems, not just look good on a shelf. What he discovered was surprising: true innovation in the pet industry was rare, and often nonexistent.
From that day on, Corey knew exactly what his next chapter of his business life would be: to create the premier pet product solutions company.
